Liquid-applied membrane systems encompass roofing solutions that come in a fluid form. This versatile coating can be applied using brushes, rollers, or specialized spray equipment. Once applied, the liquid sets either by solvent evaporation or through a chemical cross-linking action, culminating in a resilient waterproof membrane.

These liquid membranes are often layered multiple times to optimise adhesion, typically beginning with a primer or sealer. Fibreglass reinforcement or polyester nettings are frequently integrated into the liquid layer to counteract the constant expansion and contraction of concrete roofs due to temperature variations.

Given its adaptability, a liquid applied membrane is the ideal waterproofing choice for intricate and densely-packed roof landscapes.

Roof tiles, strategically overlapped and secured with nails, are designed to facilitate effective water runoff when positioned at an incline. This arrangement ensures water is efficiently channelled into gutters, circumventing potential pooling commonly seen on flat surfaces.

Metal roofs, frequently constructed using materials such as zinc, aluminium composites, and steel alloys, offer a durable roofing solution. Yet, the majority of leaks experienced with metal roofs can be traced back to corrosion, primarily due to fluctuating temperatures.
