Privacy Policy
Effective 26 August 2026. This explains what personal data Hydro-Seal Engineering Pte Ltd collects, why, and how it is protected.
Hydro-Seal Engineering Pte Ltd (“Hydroseal”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in connection with https://www.hydroseal.com.sg and our waterproofing and rope-access services, in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. What we collect
We collect personal data when you interact with us, including:
- Enquiry & quote form data: name, email address, phone number, property type, building height, service required, façade material, project timeline, project size, your message, and an optional photo you upload of the site or defect.
- Contact channels: information you give us by phone, email or WhatsApp when you reach out directly.
- Website & advertising data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and identifiers set by cookies (see “Cookies & advertising” below).
2. How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To arrange and carry out a site visit or the works you engage us for
- To keep records of jobs, warranties and correspondence
- To measure and improve our advertising (for example, understanding which ad led to an enquiry) and our website
- To meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations
We do not use your data for any purpose incompatible with these.
3. Cookies & advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, run through Google Tag Manager, to:
- Measure Google Ads and Google Analytics performance (Google LLC), including Enhanced Conversions, which sends a hashed (SHA-256) version of your email, phone number and name back to Google when you submit an enquiry.
- Measure Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising performance via Meta’s Conversions API, which sends a hashed version of your email and phone number, together with technical data such as your IP address and browser, to Meta Platforms, Inc.
Hashing means the raw value is never transmitted; it converts it into a fixed-length code that Google or Meta compares against data already in their own systems. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies in your settings, though this may affect how the site functions.
4. How we share your data
We share personal data only where necessary to run our business:
- Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Drive and Gmail) — where new enquiries and any uploaded photos are logged and emailed to our team.
- Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. — for advertising measurement, as described above.
- Service providers who host or operate our website and systems (for example Vercel), bound to protect data they process on our behalf.
- Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including any ongoing warranty period on completed work, or as required to meet legal or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Keeping your data secure
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission and restricting access to staff who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data to an appropriate standard.
7. Your rights under the PDPA
Subject to the PDPA, you may:
- Ask what personal data of yours we hold and how it is used
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated personal data
- Withdraw consent for us to collect, use or disclose your personal data (which may limit our ability to serve you, for example if we can no longer contact you about a quote)
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites (for example accreditation bodies or social media). We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and encourage you to review their own policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
